A research seminar devoted to the discussion of the work of the Jesuit father Christophorus Gillius / Cristóvão Gil (1552-1608) namely his published opus magnum De sacra doctrina et essentia atque virtute Dei  libri duo (edited in Lyon, 1610; Colonia, 1610; Colonia 1619) and all the philosophical works, v.g. the Aristotelian commentaries (In De generatione et corruptione and In I-III De anima) and the commentationes discussed at the University of Coimbra.
