She is a PhD in Sociology/Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (CPDA/UFRRJ)/Brazil. In 2014, she has developed the post-doctoral research project “Youth, digital technologies and emancipation”, at the Social Studies Centre (Centro de Estudos Sociais)/University of Coimbra. Since that, she has been investigating social and philosophical thematics, which approximate, in 2017, her research works to the Research Group Philosophy and Public Space/ Philosophy Institute/ University of Porto. Since 2000 she has been a Professor at Social Science Department of the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco/Brazil, from which has took an unpaid leave for the last three years to properly dedicate to research activities as an Integrated Research at RG Philosophy and Public Space/ Philosophy Institute/ University of Porto. Main research interests are: communication; community; city and the relations between urban and rural ways of life and senses; resistance and social movements; democracy and others forms of collective life. Current research projects: An X-ray of the city; To turn from theoretical certainties to the listening of social uncertainties: new theoretical approaches about political resistance; What is resistance nowadays?; Silenced places: from a globality project to a locality differences’ recognition.
